Significance of the International House:
The International House at the University of California was the first place Dr. Rao lived in the US, from 1959-1960. He always shared warm memories of his time there and the lifelong friends he made at that time. In honoring him, we chose the I-House Scholarship Fund because it grants need-based funding to cover Room and Board at I-House for deserving international and American students.
